Due to the coronavirus outbreak, how you contact us will be different at the moment. This is to limit face-to-face contact whenever possible and help stop the spread of coronavirus. Your GP practice is open and if you need to see your GP, please ring us on 0121 557 2581

Please note all initial appointments are currently via Telephone only during the COVID19 Coronavirus Pandemic. If  FOLLOWING your telephone appointment, you need to be seen face to face this will be arranged by the GP

We are currently not registering new patients. Unless those patients are new babies, newly fostered or adopted children of patients already registered at the Practice

You can now get extended access to pre-bookable appointments in the evenings between 6.30 and 8.00pm Mon to Friday and 9.00am till 12.00 midday Saturday's and Sunday's.

Swanpool now offers ONLINE SERVICES, make appointments, order medication and view your medical records. Please ask at reception for more information.


You can also now request the Electronic Transfer of most repeat prescriptions to a nominated pharmacy.

Patients on regular medication can order repeat prescriptions in a number of ways:

  • In person - place your computerised repeat slip in the box provided in reception with the required items clearly marked.
  • By post - send it to us with a stamped addressed envelope if you want us to post it back to you.
  • By fax - to 0121 520 9475
  • Online - follow the link at the top of this page to complete a simple one-off registration.

Please note we are unable to accept requests for medication over the telephone.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

48_hours Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
