Appointment System

All initial and online appointments are via TELEPHONE ONLY. If you need to been seen a further appointment to see to GP/Nurse will be arranged.

The doctors work as a medical team. Each doctor holds regular surgeries throughout the week. Please telephone 0121 557 2581 to book an appointment. If the problem is urgent please tell the receptionist so that you may be seen quickly.

We offer same day appointments during each surgery session. To access this service telephone the above number at 08:00 in the morning when appointments are offered on a first come first served basis.

We prefer children under the age of 14 years to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly. Under very exceptional circumstances, in the event of an emergency and at the discretion of the doctor or nurse a patient may be seen without an appointment.

Extended GP Appointments

Practices are working in partnership to provide additional GP appointments between 6.30pm – 8pm during the week and also over the weekend. If you need access to an evening or weekend non-urgent appointment, please call and speak to the receptionist at your registered practice during normal opening hours.  Your appointment may be with another practice in the area and may not be at your registered practice.

Home Visits

Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception before 11.00 am.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule house calls

You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.

Pharmacy Minor Ailment Scheme

The Pharmacy Minor Ailments Service is primarily designed as a “walk in” service so that patients exempt from prescription charges of all ages can access self-care advice for the treatment of minor ailments and, where appropriate, be supplied with over the counter medicines, without the requirement to attend their GP practice for an appointment and prescription.

This scheme is available to patients exempt from prescription charges who are registered with a general practitioner in the Sandwell & West Birmingham CCG area.

Patients can access the scheme up to a maximum of 6 times in a 12-month period.

A list of the conditions covered, and the participating pharmacies can be found via the link below.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Patients who fail to keep their appointment 3 times without informing the surgery will be sent a letter of warning.  Failure to keep an appointment after this may result in the patient being removed from the Practice list.

You can also complete our appointment cancellation notification request form. This can only be used if your appointment has been arranged for more than 24 hours in advance (excluding weekends and public holidays). You can also text to cancel your appointment.
